RE: Anyone buying Diesel in Mexico?

I have a mexican that works with me, bring it across in cans every week.
Cheap and I don't have to worry about being kidnapped, (or wait in line.)

RE: Newbie, needs help

Never seen one out here but after a google search, looks like a very basic, no frills model. A 30' rig lists only 40-50 gallon fresh water capacity. That would never work for me out in the dez.
Welcome to the fourm.

RE: cables to level ramp door

I bet tie down straps would work. They're adjustable so it would be easy to get level. I'm not sure if they would be long enough.
They sure do!:W

RE: Cost of having fun

Truck (Diesel) $4.25/gal x 65
Toyhauler & bikes full (premium)$3.89/gal x 46
Toyhauler (propane) $3.59/gal x 8
Sandcar (100 octane) $6.99/gal x 15
OUCH! Do the math.
Good thing the dunes were perfect (and nearly empty) last week or I'd be really bitter.

RE: toy loading question

WARNING!!!!!WARNING!!!!
Do not overlook a common affliction that many new Toyhauler owners come down with.
It's called A$$BACKWARDITIS.
(The process of buying the smallest toyhauler available then soon realizing you need more room):S
****REMEMBER: Those 50's will grow into 250's or 450's sooner than you think.
Get a Toyhauler that will accomadate the family not just for today, but tomorrow as well.

RE: PICS From BRP (Black Rhino Performance) Meet at Glamis

If it is performance, tell her it will somehow enhance safety!
It will safely make it up that hill!!
I guess I am lucky,
Wifey made sure it was safe, 1/2 doors, 5 point belts, wheel spacers (Soon wheels and tires). After all Her #1 Grand Son rides in it.
I'd add arm restraints to that list.

RE: Floorplans

(1)I realize this is whiney, but I am getting ready to spend upwards of $60,000 for a new RV, and I have yet to find a coach were real thought, engineering and attention to detial has gone into it.
I currently have a Rage'n FS2600, which is great, but I would now like some more room, in the form of a fifth wheel toy hauler. I have been researching for a few months now (the listing in RV.net is great), and am becoming increasingly frustrated. It seems all the manufacturers, for the most part, simply copy eachother. There is nothing different nor originial out there except for perhapes the Weekend Warrior 3505 LED and maybe one or two others...I have yet to visit the dealership on that one though.
I am astounded at how little thought goes into these machines. Most of the fifth wheels have a sofa next to a dinette on the same side of the trailer. This makes it difficult for the people on the couch to(2)when you are sitting on the couch or at the table, your view out of the coach is limited to the kitchen cabinets, instead of the great outdoors.
have a face to face conversation with the people at the table. Further, with most of these floor plans, when you are sitting on the couch or at the table, your view out of the coach is limited to the kitchen cabinets, instead of the great outdoors.
A number of these coaches literaly have nowhere to get dressed in private, unless you try to cram yourself into the tiny bathroom. A simple sliding or accordian door would solve this problem. (3)Further, closet space in a number of these fifth wheels is a joke....one closet that is maybe 2 feet across??? How are you supposed to live for extended periods with that?
What I am looking for is a 30'-35' (anything more than that is too big, and too hard to get into many campgrounds, forests) fifth wheel with a partioned garage, opossing couch and dinnet, decent sized closet (or at least 2-3 smaller ones), doors to close the bedroom off from the bath, and the bath from the main living area, two exterior side doors (one to the living area, one to the garage), lots of large windows to enjoy the scenery (vice the view of cabinets as seems to be the norm in many of these). Some unique touches would help too...(4)how about a wet-well in the luggage area that you can fill with ice and soda/beer that would drain out on the ground? That way you got your cold drinks on the patio, yet out of the sun; saw this on one Gear Box. How about consolidating all the control switches and system monitors in one panel, instead of strewn hap-hazardly throughout the coach? (5) Double paned glass would sure help in the winter, and blisteringly hot summers when in the desert. (6) I could go on and on.
I will continue searching...perhaps the 3505 LED will do it, otherwise perhaps next year.
1.) yes it is.
2) Dude it's as TOY hauler not a beachfront condo...get OUTSIDE and ride!
3.) GET OUT AND RIDE! (pack a bag, you sound like my wife):W
4.) Ice chest w/ wheels $12.95 walmart
5.) Stay out of the desert in the Summer. Way too hot. Go to the beach.
6.) No doubt in my mind you could.
(It's all in fun bro...get out and ride):B

RE: Smugglers Hide in Plain Site (article)

Did I hear somewhere that we are giving Mexico like $550 million to help them secure their Southern boarder, ??? I say 3 snipers per mile, create a DMZ and anything / anyone in it gets a .223 welcome. I know, how dare I suggest something like that to protect US.
I got an idea! Every illegal that is caught goes on the fence building crew out at Buttercup to build a fence so they don't "mingle" with the off roaders.
Oh...and so they don't bother us while we are recreating, they only get to work from May to Sept.
They wanted a job?
There's a job!

Daniel Patterson is a slimeball, eco-nazi nut, who has been trying to close down the dunes for years. Was a bigshot with the C.B.D. and is trying to get voted into the AZ. legislature.:M
And by the sounds of this article, must have some old college pal writing for the LA times.
